This was my second trip to Hawaii. We were looking for something new to try. I wish we had gone here on the first trip. We came twice this trip and look forever to coming again. This soufflé waffle was so good. Absolutely delicious. Spam and eggs, top notch. Service was wonderful.
The service was so swift and smooth, although I did feel a little rushed towards the end of my breakfast. However, it makes sense as there was already a huge line before they opened! We arrived about 15min before they opened and there were already people waiting in front of us. They keep a sign up sheet outside. The soufle pancakes are what they're known for and they're light and fluffy!
Another great breakfast this morning. Not too crowded I was lucky. See picture. Eaten here since 2014-15
I came here specifically to try the soufflé pancakes. They had several different flavor toppings you could choose for it. I decided on the fruit soufflé. This was my first time trying this style pancake and I think I just didn't know what I was getting myself into. It tasted so eggy and felt like I was just eating foam egg. I even tried putting syrup on it but just couldn't get past the egg flavor. It was good, and maybe I'd try another one to see if that's the normal? But it definitely wasn't my favorite style of pancake. Also the line to get in was very long. There is a sign up sheet outside the front door where you can add your name and party size and be seated as available. I got there pretty early to open hoping the wait wouldn't be too long. As a party of 1 it still took about 15-20 minutes to get inside. However, the food came out quick and I was also out pretty quickly! Also maybe some questionable electronics.
The wait was well worth it. We waited around 35-40 minutes as the inside is kinda small. Right when we sat down, we were greeted right away with drink orders. They were quick, polite, and very efficient. The food was amazing. Everything on the menu will be a guarantee favorite. The inside is clean, music playing, and friendly waiters/waitresses. Couldn't recommend more. If you have the time to pop by and wait, it'll become a favorite spot.
I understand the hype, and it's definitely worth a try if you're adventurous for a different type of pancake. -Kalua pork eggs Benedict (5/5), my favorite Benedict in Waikiki. The pork was so tender and not dry. I love love loved this dish - Coconut Mac Soufflé pancake (3/5) - I wanted to love this one, but the texture just wasn't for me. The first few bites were fun, but getting to the center of the pancake felt undercooked and gooey. The coconut macadamia syrup was a touch too sweet for me. We waited about half an hour on a weekday morning. There's a ton of people standing outside, but the line does move quickly. Service is super friendly! I'd come back for the benedi
Love this place for breakfast! There's usually a wait there but we got lucky being a party of 2 and got seated right away since others were in bigger parties. Their food is amazing here! Love their soufflé pancakes! I got their very berry soufflé pancakes which comes with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and whipped cream and scoop of vanilla ice cream. The hubby got smoked eggs Benedict which was delicious. Service was also great too.
Absolutely delicious!! We enjoyed Spam for Breakfast here several times on our trip to Waikiki! Service was great and the Ambiance was welcoming with island flair. Worth the wait!
Great food and great service. It is a small spot so the wait is longer. We came on a Friday morning 8am, waited about 20 mins. Walk up to the clipboard to put your name. The servers were so welcoming. Ordered the coconut macadamia nut soufflé and wagyu loco moco. Coconut soufflé was a 7.5/10, it looks delicious and it was good but I would have preferred regular pancakes with that sauce. The soufflé was airy and light, the sauce wasn't too sweet. Wagyu loco moco is a 9/10, it was really good. The sauce was very delicious. Not too salty and it paired great with the meat, egg and rice. This was filling. I really enjoyed that dish.
